WP3: Characterisation, validation and quality control
In depth QC and validation are essential to ensuring the utility of binders generated in the programme. Thorough analyses of affinity and specificity will include epitope mapping, specificity screening and kinetic analysis, combined with application specific QC. Standardised methods of protein and peptide arrays, Western blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry(IHC), immunofluorescence (IF) and surface plasmon resonance (SPR, Biacore) will be used. A new high capacity RNAi cell array platform will be employed for validation. During the course of the project, developments in WP5 will result in advanced QC tools and methods which will strengthen the output of WP3. Characterisation data will be made publicly available in project databases, providing essential information for users.
