1st Annual Reporting Meeting March 2011

The first annual reporting meeting of all project partners took place at the Alpbach Conference Centre, Alpbach, Austria, on March 14th 2011 and was attended by group members of all partners, altogether about 60 attendees. After an introduction by Mike Taussig (BBT), there was an invited presentation on ‘Signalling and cancer’ by Simon Cook (Babraham Institute, Cambridge). The first partner reporting session reviewed protein production in Year 1 (SGC UOXF and KI, CPR, DKFZ, CPR) and the second presented results on binder production (KTH, VIB, UZH, ULUND, TUBS) and bioinformatics and databases (KTH, UU). To round off the reporting, invitees from the US National Cancer Institute (Tara Hiltke) and the National Institutes of Health (Christine Gatlin) made presentations on their respective programmes in affinity proteomics. The reporting meeting was run back to back with the public 5th ESF/Affinomics Workshop on Affinity Proteomics, during which many of the AFFINOMICS partners also presented their work.
